Summary
In this study the distribution of streptococcal mastitis in Canadian dairy farms was determined through culture, phenotypic and molecular identification. Virulence factors in streptococcus strains obtained from mastitic cows and from farm environment were determined, as were the main clinical alterations induced these bacteria. The project was executed at the University of Calgary, Canada.
